More than 90% of Hainan B&Bs have recovered! Tourists gather next to the duty-free shop

According to big data from the backstage of Tujia Homestay, the search volume of Sanya homestays in early August increased by nearly five times compared with the same period of the previous month, and it was successfully ranked among the top three popular homestay destination searches in China; summer family trips are popular, and Sanya's luxury homestay orders have been compared to the same period last year. The number of high-end boutique properties such as sea-view apartments and sea-side villas increased by nearly 70% compared with last year.

Tourists gather next to the duty-free shop, these two are the most popular

According to the statistics of Tujia Homestay's background data, the overall homestay transaction volume in Hainan Province has recovered to more than 90% of the same level last year. Judging from the source of homestay orders in July and August, the most tourists came from Sanya, Haikou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Boao (Qionghai), Lingshui, Danzhou, Wenchang, Beijing, Chongqing and other places, and Hainan Province alone Local residents contributed most of the orders, and surrounding tours and short-distance tours still dominated the mainstream.

According to Tujia data, since June this year, booking transactions for homestays near 4 duty-free shops on outlying islands in Hainan Province accounted for nearly 20% of the province's total. Among them, the homestays near Sanya International Duty Free City in Haitang Bay and Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop are the most popular, accounting for 94% of the total transaction value of homestays near the four major duty-free shops.

In addition, Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Yalong Bay, Yazhou Bay, Perfume Bay, West Coast Tourism Resort, Wuzhizhou Island, Wenchang City, Tongguling National Nature Reserve, Shimei Bay Tourism Resort, Sanya Bay, Haitang Bay has become the most popular business district/scenic area for tourists visiting Hainan.

Out of concern for safety and epidemic prevention, this year's travellers pay more attention to safety and privacy. Health, safety, quality and characteristics have become the primary factors that consumers pay attention to when booking homestays.

According to Tujia backstage statistics, the average room night price of Hainan B&Bs will reach 338 yuan per night in 2020, a slight increase over the same period last year; the average stay is 1.7 days, basically the same as last year.

Tujia pointed out that since the release of inter-provincial travel coincides with the peak summer season, the orders of family users who bring their babies to Sanya on a trip have surged. These users are more inclined to have larger activity space, fully furnished single-family homestays or multi-bedroom apartments. Statistics show that the number of bookings for high-end boutique homestays has increased by nearly 70% year-on-year. Many seaview homestays and seaview villas with convenient transportation, laundry and cooking, and comfortable quality have already been sold out, and some homestay orders have even been queued to the end of October.
